Through our Program of Library Establishment and Refurbishment Program, we are about to initiate Library Renovation Projects in four public secondary schools in the Dar es Salaam Region, two in Kinondoni Municipality and two in Ilala Municipality.

On May 22, 2024, we began by visiting Mr. Mtundi Nyamhanga, the Secondary Education Officer at Kinondoni Municipality, to introduce the project at the government level, specifically for Turiani and Magomeni Makuti Secondary Schools.

During our visit, we met with the Head Teachers, Ms. Janeth Mabusi of Turiani Secondary School and Ms. Serafia Bayo of Magomeni Makuti Secondary School. Our discussions focused on preliminary preparations and outlining the necessary steps to achieve our objectives.

This project aims to enhance the learning environment for students and provide teachers with better teaching resources, thereby improving the quality of education in public schools. We anticipate positive outcomes and the fostering of a reading culture among the over 2,900 students who will benefit from the library projects at these schools.
