The Kick-off Meeting for the new project, Library Renovation at Turiani Secondary School, is a significant step towards enhancing educational resources for the school, which has 1582 students (861 girls and 721 boys) and 39 teachers (20 female and 19 male). Realizing the present state of their current library, with limited resources and inadequate facilities, the establishment of a well-equipped library is deemed essential for students’ academic success and personal development.

To ensure the success of this endeavor, stakeholders involvement is crucial. Hence, it was crucial to engage key stakeholders within the Ndugumbi ward, before starting the renovation.

The meeting was held at the school compound and attended by 13 stakeholders, including the Representative of the Ndugumbi Ward Councilor, Ward Development Officer, Ward Executive Officer, Representative from the Local Government, School Board Chairperson, School Board Vice Chairperson, Parents’ Forum Chairperson, School Board Representative, School Head Teacher, two Library Teachers, Academic Teacher, and Discipline Teacher. They were briefed on the project’s objectives and plans, aiming to sensitize them and instill a sense of ownership of the project.

The collaborative effort promises to transform the library into a vibrant hub of knowledge and learning, enriching the educational journey of Turiani Secondary School’s students
