SUPERVISORY VISIT AT YUSUPH MAKAMBA SECONDARY SCHOOL
This week, we visited Yusuph Makamba Secondary School, located in Ubungo Municipal, Dar es Salaam, as part of our ongoing efforts to monitor the progress of our libraries. This particular library was established in 2016 with support from Read International.

We were pleased to see that the library is still actively in use and continues to serve as a vital space for learning and reading.

With a total number of 1,567 students, the school manages library access through a rotation system to ensure that every student gets the opportunity to read and benefit from the available resources. It was encouraging to witness students reading a variety of books, demonstrating a strong passion for learning and expanding their knowledge through reading.

We call upon partners and stakeholders to join us in our efforts to improve reading environments so that our children can have safe and supportive spaces that foster their academic growth.
