For over a decade now, our vision has been to empower young girls and boys to become more knowledgeable, enhance their skills, and create spaces where they can access information through the establishment of libraries, that can contribute to their household and global development.

We are thrilled to extend our reach to more students as, on August 24th, in partnership with Deloitte, we launched spacious libraries equipped with books and computers at Kipunguni and Minazi Mirefu Secondary Schools, located in Ilala Municipal, Dar Es Salaam region.

These two new libraries bring the total number of 172 libraries we have established across the country. The presence of these modern facilities will significantly enhance reading and learning for more than 4,052 students. At Minazi Mirefu Secondary School, 1,700 students (898 girls and 810 boys) will benefit from the new library, while at Kipunguni Secondary School, 2,352 students (1,103 girls and 1,249 boys) will also benefit from the new library. Moreover, 40 teachers from Minazi Mirefu and 34 teachers from Kipunguni will have the opportunity to further enrich their knowledge through these libraries.

We call for more partners to be part of this transformation and contribute to make a lasting impact in our education system.
