COMMEMORATING INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY AT THE NATIONAL LIBRARY
On September 8th each year, all nations celebrate the International Literacy Day. READ TANZANIA and Tanzania Library Services Board (TLSB) commemorated this day by coming together with students and teachers from four Secondary Schools, Magomeni Makuti, Turiani from Kinondoni Municipal as well as Kipunguni, and Minazi Mirefu from Ilala Municipal. The event was held at the National library in Posta, Dar es Salaam.

The students participated in a variety of activities, including reading, mathematics, and vocabulary competitions. The goal was to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills, helping them strengthen their abilities in reading, writing, and counting
