A VISIT THAT CONNECTS EXPERIENCE, GROWTH, AND IMPACT IN READ PROGRAMS
We had the chance to host Laela Adamson, a former READ International volunteer from UK who is currently a Senior Lecturer at Strathclyde Institute of Education. She is in Tanzania for research in partnership with the University of Dar es Salaam and took the opportunity to visit us.

Her visit created a meaningful moment to reflect on how far the organization has come. Returning after nearly two decades, she shared how encouraging it was to see the work continuing and growing in new ways. The difference in how programs are delivered today compared to the early years clearly shows a journey of learning, adaptation, and progress.

We also had the opportunity to visit two schools in Dar es Salaam, where she was able to see the ongoing work on the ground and gain a closer understanding of how reading spaces continue to support students.

It was a special moment that connected the past with the present, and a reminder that consistent effort and a shared vision can create lasting change
