IMPROVING READING CULTURE THROUGH STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT WITH TIE
We had the opportunity to hold a meeting with the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE), where we engaged in constructive discussions on strengthening the reading culture in schools and improving the effective use of school libraries.

The meeting was led by the Deputy Director General of TIE, Dr. Angela Katabaro, while our delegation was headed by our Executive Director, Naemy Sillayo.

During the discussions, we explored various areas of collaboration in implementing our programmes, including building the capacity of library teachers. We also addressed the use of digital library platforms and the regulation of book accreditation to ensure the quality of reading materials used in school environments.

We are confident that this collaboration will continue to play a key role in promoting a strong reading culture across public schools.
